With these births we finish the challenge of introducing the 3 genetic lines of DNA Genetics in Spain (L200 Large White, L400 Landrace, L600 Duroc).
The L400 Landrace females arrived in July from the United States, they are breeders with a high genetic level. They have been housed in a new nucleus with an excellent location in terms of biosecurity. In order to maintain the genetic progress we are going to work with the same quality standards as in DNA’s American nucleus.
DNA L400 Landrace breeders along with L200 Large White are DNA Genetics’ maternal lines. They are sows that produce large litters of quality piglets. DNA incorporates in its selection program traits that favor uniformity and litter survival, as well as those maternal qualities that make them excellent mothers, weaning more and better piglets raised on the sow herself.
With the establishment of the new L400 Landrace nucleus, we demonstrate once again the commitment of DNA Genetics + Andrimner with the Spanish market.
